I really hope that the ipad app can be updated and improved on in terms of functionality, to make it more streamlined and optimized for a more user-friendly interface, but until then these other character refs are kinda just being left to rot and it’s worrying. And on the ipad it’s a bit of a jumbled/confusing mess. But I cant use it on my PC until I can replace my laptop with one I can plug an actual tablet into. Procreate’s interface and the way it presents it’s tools is just so much clearer/cleaner and more seamless and it sucks bc medibang is fine on the PC. It Kinda sucks that you cant really organize the brushes you have into folders or make your own brushes in the ipad version of medibang either? You’re kinda just stuck with the same cloud brushes that medibang provides to you, which is so limiting, and they’re just kindof a freeform mess that you have to sort through in order to find the one you need, which can get overwhelming if you have a lot of brushes saved from the PC version. Same probably would’ve been good for the smudge and erase brushes too, which I know is exactly like procreate and I shouldnt expect medibang to be exactly like that program, and I honestly dont, but I make the comparison in this instance in particular because it makes sense from a user-friendliness standpoint, which is part of why procreate got so popular it’s extremely user-friendly and flexible. The symmetry pen is tedious and would’ve been better made into a tool that could be applied regardless of the brush you use, with lines present to indicate a separation between the different sections. I’ve got so many large/detailed character references on medibang (that I cant work on in procreate bc of layer limits) that I’d love to finish but I always get frustrated with it before I can get very far, thus leaving said references to become more and more out of date with my style and current skill as time goes on. I’m trying really hard to get back into using medibang after using procreate for so long, but it’s really hard given that medibang’s ipad interface isnt nearly as straightforward or user-friendly as procreate’s is.
